I received my stage 2 transfer case from shep this week and went to install it and noticed it came packaged with a seal and a note saying to install the seal between the transmission and the transfer case. There's no where to install this seal that I can see though! I even pulled an assembly diagram and it doesn't show any seal there.

Second thing, shep drew some arrows and circled a whole on the transfer case but never said anything to me about it. The diagram I looked at showed some sort of seal (a quarter of the size of the other seal they sent, so no relation) but I don't have a seal for that spot? Anyone else run into anything like this? I can't call them til Monday but really need to get this taken care of by tonight.

You're supposed to get a small o-ring (a little smaller than a dime) to go in that circled/arrowed hole. I'm not sure what that seal is.

Unless you didn't send them the tailshaft housing. The seal could be for that housing where the driveshaft goes in.

yup...go to mitsu and get the little oring seal that goes where the arrows and circled hole is...it is cheap...without it fluid will leak everywhere...the other seal is for the tail part that is missing in the picture...your driveshaft goes into it...that part which kind of looks like a bell has that seal in it...you just tap it in there......
