I do a bit of back road blasting and with a black car I find i feel safer especially with bikes coming the other direction cranked over, hopefully they can see me quicker with lights on and pull up in time. In normal traffic I am not sure if it makes a difference but I know its harder to see a black car out of the corner of your eye even if its 20 feet away from you.

The issue I think I will have now is blowing my HIDs all the time, these chinese ones I just put in say 3000 hours usage but i am not sure.

 

Yes, always run the EVO w/the HL's on. All of my other cars & current DD have DRL's

Especially useful during the early morning & afternoon drives

 

I never even turn the headlight switch to off since they turn off when you get out of the car...

 

I always keep them on for the extra peace of mind and people seeing me.

 

I keep all my lights on auto, which I always forget to change whenever I start pulling into a garage to get on a lift, and they're tell me to pull forward. Then the moment that I get the sensor into the garage the lights just blast them in the face.
