Where to set cam gears on 2.2 long rod

oh wait are you using 4g64 or 4g63? your rods are 159mm or 156mm
I am running 4g63 with 94mm crank and 156mm rods

You're way to concerned about this. The stroker does not change cam timing. You can play with it on the dyno if you want to play with the power curve, but you could do that with the stock stroke too.


Adjusting cam timing for taking 10 thou off the head and block is a waste of time. The 4g64 block is 6mm taller and only changes timing abuot 3.5-4*. Taking 10 thou off the head/block combined is only .25mm, which going by percentages changes cam timing <.2* for a 4g63 based build.

That make sense, so back to 0 it is. I will just line up the marks just like before and let ER do their magic on tune

Just a thought...If you can dial in on the power curve on a tune, then degreeing a cam is waste of time...just a thought
