New Battery and Alternator-- car will not start
Hello,
Just replaced alternator and battery. I had a Odyssey pc680, but replaced it with an ETS mini battery as it has 430 CCA. I put battery in car yesterday and car fired right up and ran perfect. No light dimming, no check lights, car ran PERFECT. It was 35 degrees outside.
This morning car would not start. It was 13 degrees. Now the Odyssey started in extremely cold weather (like -5 a few days last year). I just tried the ETS due to the CCA and the fact that I have been through 2 Odysseys with not great success.
I'm upset. The alt and bat are literally brand new... what could be happening? I am considering a trickle charger, but this will only help first start of day. I work 10 hour shifts about 35 min from home. I cannot afford to get stranded at work.
Thanks

Something must be draining your battery when the car is off. Anything plugged into your power outlets should be unplugged, make sure your radio if aftermarket is completely off and Bluetooth off, and I'd check your grounds as well.
I've seen bad battery terminals cause this. I would clean them with a terminal brush and tighten them down.
When it doesn't start, do the interior lights still turn on? A bad battery should still be able to handle small loads (like interior lights).
Do you have a volt meter to check the battery?

I don't know what you bought but when someone says new alternator they often mean a reman. It is common for remans to be faulty out of the box, hence the great warranty. You are expected to keep going back until you get a good one.
Check the voltage across the battery while the engine is running. It should be in the 14 volt range.
