Somebody help me with this ticking

I have a 2006 Evo mr .. Sounds like it's a ticking from a lifter. Was told it was from a lifter, so I put itm lifters.. Yea I bled them. The car started horrible and then it got better after I held it at 3k rpm for a while. But later that day I park and I hear the dam thing ticking again. Somebody please help me with this .
Was told the mods where 272 cosworth intake and exhaust .. Something about it having an aggressive tune.. The car runs like a dam champ fp black yata yata.....

Video will help. I have same ride, and some ticking but does not make my car drive bad. Mine drives normal. I really hope to hear your car get better.

Thanks guys. when it warms up I can start hear the tick it's very high pitched it comes and goes never a constant tick it will be tick tick ......tick.... Tick tick tick ..tick ......I'll post a video later today..I'm thinking maybe clogged pick up screen in oil pan ? Maybe loss of oil pressure getting to the head ? Till now it sounds very similar to this guy http://youtu.be/vivA0FeiFno

I'd also like to add that it's coming from the same spot as the video I posted up top.. Don't think it's injectors I have 880. Precision I believe. The oil is 10w30 Royal purple which the previous owner ran for a long period of time. Yes I know it's garbage oil specially for the fp turbo I have. I switched to 20w50 vr1 synthetic valvine and drove home and started to hear the tick..

Just my 2 cents, but I've looked into this several times and I always get "It's common for Evo's, they have noisy lifters" I've had my car in the shop several times for mods, I always ask about it and I'm always told it's nothing to worry about.

I was told the same thing, that it may be a lifter nothing to worry about.. I get itm lifters and it's still ticking.. They started loud as they were empty since I bled them and then it got quiet but still that f**** ticking. And some told me they all so that ( I had an Evo 8 motor was smooth and quiet ) so don't think it's an Evo thing

The FSM calls for a in- car bleeding procedure, see if it helps.

1. Check oil, change if necessary.
2. Get car up to operating temp.
3. Rev engine to 3k for 15 seconds.
4. Idle for another 15 seconds, that's one cycle.
5. Repeat 10- 30 times, as needed.
6. If noise is gone, repeat cycle for 5 more times.
7. Idle for 1-3 mins.

I did that as soon as I was done bleeding the new ones .. The car sounded horrible and after doing that process you posted it cleared up but now I have the same tick.. Changing the lifters did nothing for me .. And it's weird the car runs like a champ.. The tick drives me crazy I hope I'm not damaging something. It's only got 60k miles.. Sometimes it does start like its lack of fuel but then it idles good.

If it is a sticking lifter then it is a valve tapping. Otherwise it is a rod knocking or a loose wrist pin or a broken piston.

Sticking lifter ? I replaced them, I put itm lifters and still tick ? I'm sorry I'm not understanding. A valve would be tapping with new lifters still?

FWIW, could be your injectors. my FID1200s are noisy from time to time.
