Trading my Evo in..
Thats when you just go to the range to bang one out
As for the new car feel. Buy a beater and drive it for 2 months. I bet after those two months youll be like, damn it feels good to drive an evo.
Im going through that right now
My evo should be up and running in a day or two.

Every time I get new bike fever I just hop on mine and go for a quick romp session. Then I remember why I've turned down multiple cash offers over the last month.
Unless you find something else that you know for certain you are going to be happier with than what you have right now, I would not make any impulse decisions.
1) You can have maintenance costs or a car payment, but you cannot have neither. If you think you're going to put $3,000 a year into your Evo, then maybe it's time to start thinking about a new vehicle, but I'm willing to bet without a nice down payment that a new STI is going to run you more than $3,000 a year in payments, and I'm also willing to bet your Evo isn't going to rack up $3,000+ in maintenance costs per year.
2) You are going to get shafted on the trade in value of your car. You're better off trying to sell it on here/Craigslist and use the cash as a down payment.
3) Dealerships suck.
4) Everyone and their grandma drives a Subaru WRX now.

I had my reasons to get rid of the Evolution VIII. I will miss it now and again. I know that no matter what I say someone on here will give me a hard time. I've spent way more money on the Evo than the car was probably worth. It was still is not even close to where I wanted to be.
I enjoyed the challenges; I just have a family and can't spend my whole weekend in the garage working on the car when I've got a house to maintain and a toddler to look after too. This is why a STi with a warranty would be appealing to me. The safety features and roominess also helped out along with the fact it was still turbocharged.

Well said. I respect that post and can definitely see where you're coming from. I have an Evo, and I enjoy it. At times though, it's a bit much. Who would have thought, if you double or triple the horsepower from stock, it becomes less reliable? Lol. I also have a young child, house, wife, family, etc. It's not my daily though. If it sits, because my son had karate, then so be it.
But, the new Subaru's look good I think. Also, respond pretty good to mods, but that's another story. Enjoy your new car.
