Knocking from transmission

06 Evo 9 MR 6spd

Just installed a competition stage 3 sprung single disc clutch, has 100 miles on the clutch.
After the install aside from a few leaks (leaks are fixed) everything was running fine. This morning my car locked up and completely stopped. I turned the car back on a drove to a parking lot. The trans now has a knocking sound when in neutral and at idle. If I push the clutch in the noise goes away. I took it for a few laps around the parking lot to see if I could make anything else of it. It drives completely fine except for the noise. I was thinking throw out bearing but I would figure that would make more of a screeching/grinding sound rather that a knock noise. Looked through the inspection hole on the trans and everything looked fine up there. The faster the car goes the more frequent the sound is coming from the trans. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

It's totally normal. The aftermarket clutch transmits more of the hormones form the engine into the trans. You're just hearing the gears meshing with no load on them. It's normal, and harmless.

Post a video of the noise. If your car "locked up" and shut off, then the noise started, there is a good chance something is wrong.
