EVO IX -Questions on making my car a bit....louder.
My setup consisted of a 3" BR downpipe mated to a 3" BR turboback with the SD muffler and no resonator or cat converter. Yeah it was loud but it sounded so nice, especially at WOT. But since it's hard to hold a conversation with my GF in the passenger seat, I modified the turboback by removing the SD muffler and welding in 2 Burns Stainless mufflers in its place. It sounds a bit more civil now but it's still loud enough for my taste.
my car is not a daily... so i like it that loud.
if it was my daily, i would worry that my neighbors would not like it at all when i fired it up every morning at 6:00 so it could warm up.
It would be too loud for that. If i was my neighbor and asleep, i wouldnt like it.

you dont want to sound like a fart cannon honda either. i currently have Buschur straight pipe with their down pipe..well not fully straight but i do have a resonator from magnaflow right where the cat is. by far its quite loud when im on throttle and pretty quite when idle compare to the Greddy TIC i had, which drones the **** out of the car and its loud when idle. another reason to look into the Buschur is the thickness of their pipe. it allows exhaust heat to dissipate faster and light on weight.
In my DD (i leave my house before 5am :-) my neighbors love me lol) After my ams 200 or 300 cell i have a 3" pipe going all the wAy back and thats it!
Lol Sounds grizzly bear mean!
