Yup accidently ran on my 91 map and the car wouldn't idle and I got a check engine light. Switched maps and everything was instantly better

Why not call the guy and tell him to have it running on the 91 tune before you pick it up and pay him for a tank of gass

You're stressing over nothing, don't even sweat it. If it doesn't run, flip the switch and you're good. The key can only be in two positions for the switch to work. Easy peasy.
