Well didn't end up using air. While I was using the euro spring tool, and compressed the valve spring it caused air to leak out. So I didn't want to risk on cylinders 2-3.
My only thought was I was doing it too slow. Or I should have used the compression type tool that lays across the head that I have seen that seems to work quicker than the euro screw in type.
I just did 1-4 when they were at top of stroke then I did 2-3 when they were at top.
I was a good boy and bled my lifters as well.
So long story short I have to retime the belt in addition. That seems to be going alright. I am waiting to pick up my valve cover before I can finish that up. The biggest pain in the *** is getting off the water pump pulley! And I fear that getting it back on may be even more of a pain!
Hope to fire it up in a couple days

Ive done it numerous times.
Tdc
Zipties
Collapse tensioner with rod
Bungee cord sprockets to hood.
Head bolt removal install new torque to spec.
As for the springs i did it with no rope in cylinder and no air in cylinder.
The right way to do it is use a leak down tester to compress cylinder to hold valves up. But the oil coating around valves holds them up pretty well.
Used the euroexport spring tool btw.

Ah no big deal,
This being the first time I've ventured this far into a car, I was a little hesitant. This is also par for the course on how I learn how to do things unfortunately.... The long hard way.
I definitely have a lot to take away from this, and it should be a lot quicker in the event I ever have to do it again.
