If you had your transfer case rebuilt...

Who did you have it done by?

Did you ship it out yourself or have them send you a box?

If you shipped it yourself, What did Shipping cost you, who did you use, and how did you pack the tcase?

Appreciate any help.

Rebuilt by jacks transmission.

Had them send me a box, much easier. Molded to shape of transfer case, reassured me it would be safe to ship.

FTFY.

I second TRE. Jon's work is equaled by no one. Of the "major" Evo drivetrain shops, he's the only one that magnafluxes parts and offers shot peening and gear detailing. And he's the only one that machines the case to get them perfectly square to each other.

Have him send you a box if you're not confident in being able to properly pack up the tcase. Broken cases are expensive.

Jack's took care of me. Sent me the molded foam packaging for protection. Have not run it yet as I am still waiting for my built block but I am pretty excited about the "unbreakable" package.

I shipped it to John Shepard.
Shipping costs were like $70 fedex I believe.

I have also shipped an engine and transmission via fedex. Shipping costs were $115 for something which weighed 90lbs
