Working on a MAF housing. This is a first cut of the design.
It connects to a 5" air filter (thinking GT-500 Ford OEM filter), has a 3.5" diameter for the MAF section to help with scaling (aiming for 600+ to the wheels), and then connects to a 4.0" SCAT hose to go in a flexible manner to the 4" turbo inlet.

MAF prototype

FYI - Do you know how intakes usually have some of those "resonator chambers" on the intake plumbing? I deleted mine on my 2000 civic, I printed a plug for the hole out of "PC/ABS" and it has been holding up awesome even know it is exposed to PCV/Crankcase gases and some fuel vapors... not to mention under hood temperatures.

Yes, and my stock airbox is somewhere buried in the basement. I have PC/ASA, straight ABS, or straight PC. Thinking I might go even more exotic with carbon in PEEK or Nylon, not sure yet.
The printer can do 500C, so any material is possible.

Thats a great print! Printed it out on a Prusa or a different 3D printer? Probably took like a day depending on infill percentage.

I do have respect for Prusa printers....However the printer is actually a massively customized QIDI printer that has an LDO Orbiter 1.5 extruder with Phaetus Dragon hotend. The setup is good for a 120C bed temp and 500C print temp.
It did take 17 hours with CUBIC infill at 30% with 3 walls.

and thank you for the print complement!

Hey print wizards, how hard would it be to invent a shift pattern lock plate thing?

Creating something custom just takes some time to model it. A drawing with dimensions is required. Printing is not hard once your have a solid setup, I don't have "bad prints" ever. However, the time modeling it is the crux

Maybe you can sketch it out. If I can see what your design requirements are then I can model it.

Any center console dash gauge?

Hi guys,
I know is an old thread, but wonder if any of you have done a 3D print of the gauge dash panel for the evo 8/9, I just bought one supposed to be Ortiz but don’t like the finish, so I’m looking for a 3D print version that I’m absolutely sure will looks like original.

also looking for the 2 small trim pieces that have the Recaro seats to ventilate at the back

thanks to all.

Designed and printed a gauge pod for my 60-52mm gauge set up. Still some small tweaks to be made, and different revision of post processing.

Nice idea! I barely use the sun visors as mirrors so larger ones would be a great improvement.
