Misfire with diy coil on plug

I recently bought an Evo 8 with what looks like a diy coil on plug kit, it has ran fine the last week but when I started it this morning and it has a misfire I traced it to cylinder 2 and assumed it was a bad ignition coil so I replaced it but it is still misfiring. I’m assuming it is a bad connection in the connector so I’m going to replace that tomorrow but could it potentially be anything else? (Besides the wiring itself which is super unlikely)

should've pulled the plug first before replacing coil but yeah, do what biggie says and let us know how it goes.

Ok I figured out it’s the plug that goes from both cylinder 2 and 3 into I assume the coil pack, the wires are coming out of the connector and I got them to touch and run good but it is a bandaid fix for now so can anyone point me in the right direction to buying a plug in that goes the 2 plug ins for ignition coils 2 and 3

thats sounding like the stock ignition system if that coil supplies 2 and 3.

Can you post a picture of your setup? If you're talking about the gray connector that plugs into the factory connector on the left side, it would power coils 2 and 3.
