Evo9-shaking/cant hold gas / unstable idle - oil light blinking / battery light on

So my Evo 9 started having the following symptoms recently, at the beginning I thought it maybe the idle control valve, but it looks fine when tested the IACV with a multimeter with consistent 28-33 ohms, I also switched to another IACV to just make sure. It still having the same shaking issue

Video

1) After the car driven for 15 minutes + (when the car is warmed up getting hot under hood)
2) It start shaking with unstable idle, it would start choking when giving gas, and not able to keep the speed at gear 1 - rpm keep dropping down from around 1000, 1500 rpm to below when i keep holding the gas pedal. It just cant go up higher enough for me to drive normally
3) Oil sign flickering and battery sign on ,
4) some burning smell and little light smoke under hood close to alternator area - from the lower upper left side of the engine area

I cleaned intake filter and cleaned MAF sensor using maf cleaner spray, also changed idle control valve, doesn't help. I suspect it maybe the alternator? but I hope not cuz the OEM alternator is expensive.

Any feedback or sharing similar experience would be greatly appreciated !

Yeah, seems like a few issues going on. Heres a thread on the flickering oil light issue (many note that its likely the sending unit) https://www.evolutionm.net/forums/ev...kers-idle.html

Be good to run a log on this & that would reveal the issue i would think?

Wish i could be more help / Keep us posted please

Oil burning smell might be attributed to some oil leaking onto the downpipe?
I would definitely check the alternator and log voltage while driving. If your alternator isn't supplying your ecu with required voltage, it will go crazy. It could also explain your battery light flicker.

So definitely check your alternator, oil leaking on your alternator and your downpipe.

Dropped it off to the shop weekend, and it was diagnosed the alternator isn't functioning properly.
I wanted to get a Mitsubishi OEM alternator , and was told by Mitsubishipartswarehouse that it is discontinued and no US dealers have it.
The repair shop told me to use Denso remanufactured alternator , i am a bit worry aftermarket one may not last long ?
