Evo V speedometer recalibration?
Evo V speedometer recalibration?
Picked up a CP9A about a week ago and starting to dive into small mods at a time. Plan on being this car back to the US so i need to get a conversion for the speedo. I’ve been searching for a couple days and I’m probably just missing this, but does anyone know how to recalibrate one? I’m wanting to swap out my oem cluster face for one that has KMH and MPH. Found one I like but it goes up to 260kmh. I’be found some pretty easy kmh-mph chips, mods etc but haven’t been able to find something that can actually adjust the calibration of the speedo itself. Is this even possible without having to send it in somewhere? I imagine that a full cluster swap might be the better way to go but wanted to see if there were other options.

Keep in mind that your existing odometer reading will remain in the km that the car has gathered, while each new speed unit racked up will be miles, so your odometer will never be accurate again. If you don't care about that, this is the solution.

Thanks for that. I have found a few of those conversions. My main thing is to see if the actual speedo will be accurate when I change the faceplate from a 0-180 kmh to a 0-260 kmh (with a mph secondary ring)
