Help ! (Ran the car on Low Oil)

Hello Everyone,
I am literally worried to the bone on the story which i am about to describe below

There was a very small Oil Leaking issue in the car from one of the oil cooler lines , i dropped the car at my mechanic and he had it fixed by replacing a washer. I also asked him to flush the radiator etc and fill in coolant. After work i picked up the car and it ran fine. After 2 days i decided to go for a small drive. In 1st gear at full throttle , the car was going no where and i was having boost cut at i think 0.5 bar ( my car is total stock with just an intake and an exhaust) . I tried to go into boost (in 1st gear) for 3-4 times, but the car was like pegged with no power and boost cut (i think) .

i got worried and parked the car immediately , after like 2 hours i did a normal checkup of the car (including the oil level ) and to my surprise the oil level was even beneath the 1st marker on the stick (picture below). I checked for any Oil Leakage in the parking and there was none. I then filled in the Oil till the marker ( it was like 1.25 liter) .

After an hour i drove the car and it ran fine , on boost it was fine as well. Today i went to the mechanic who admitted that he did not fill in the oil , after some heated arguments he checked the car in detail. There were no noises , oil leakage , oil level was fine as well etc. It was just that the idiot guy did not fill in the OIL completely.

Now the car runs fine without any issues, but i am still worried a bit that it has damaged something inside. Are there any more signs do i need look for if there was any damage ?

Although the dip stick is registering "Low", you still had approx 4 qts in the pan i bet. I think the engine is fine

Now, if you were at the track pulling some long right handers, i would be a bit concerned

That`s a relief to hear. I just tried boosting it in 1st gear for 2-3 times then shut the car off and parked it up. After that i checked and refilled the oil.

I panicked as this is my 1st turbo car. I always had n/a based honda`s . So i am being extra cautions to protect the car . From now onwards , i will make this a habbit of mine to check the engine oil every time i go out (the car is my daily)

I once accidentally ran my viii low mileage engine (about 2k miles on a new build) without any oil for about 5 minutes. I drained the oil then had something to do, totally forgot that it was not filled and ran the car for afew minutes before realizing. There were no metal shards or anything and it seemed to run fine after. Im sure it caused some premature wear/scoring in the journals but nothing to the point where it affected performance.

Yours still had some oil, probably still enough that the pick up tube was able to bring enough oil and lubricated the engine/turbo. The pick up tube almost hits the bottom of the pan, much lower than the dipstick so I think you're good.

I had my Magnus oil filter come unscrewed at 130 mph at the track about the 1/8th and made a full pass before I realized oh **** I am blowing smoke. Had 0 oil on the dipstick and the engine was fine. Thank goodness for the AMS oil pan being after I got it home and changed the oil it had just over 2 qts left in it. I know people have had problems with that pan but sure saved my *** being it was the difference in the pan size that saved my engine. Moral of the story make sure you tighten down the oil filter before you go out and beat the **** out of the car.
