2006 Evo Values
Just purchased an Evo IX after many years of previously owning one. I had to sell it years ago due to finances. I am now a working professional and thankfully have the ability to buy a clean example. I have to say, it was a tough search and prices are bordering insane now. This thread offers great insight on how the Evo market continues to evolve. Cheers to everyone that still owns one after all these years!
Congratulations on that. Not easy. I'd hate to have to replace mine right now.
How long did it take and what did you end up with? How far did you expand your search radius?

Some additional details on the Evo IX that's currently available on BAT. The seller just posted photos of the catalytic converter that was supposedly "put back to stock." It's clearly the same WORKS high-flow cat that I had originally installed on the car (you can see the not-so-pretty O2 bung welds to the left of the O2 sensor).
While perhaps not good news for people who want it all-original or live in California, this does suggest that the parts I had installed haven't been taken off after all. The mods were WORKS downpipe, WORKS high-flow cat, ETS lower intercooler pipe, Grimmspeed 3-port boost controller (I couldn't tell from the engine bay photos if it's still there or not), and Fujitsu RM-01A exhaust. I also used a WORKS drop-in air filter (that might not have survived).
If somewhere here buys it (and the same parts are actually intact), I do still have the original tuning files and would be happy to send them to the new owner (if the ECU's been reflashed).

My car just sold on BaT. I think this is the way for anyone to go... I was so tired of "interested" buyers jerking me around. I ended up actually getting more than I originally listed it for online anywhere.
I was honest about my car having the mods that it did. People had me scared saying that "no one will bid on it because it's modified". I think this is BS because the quality of work on my car was unmatched. If you hack the car together then this might be the case though- but the quality is obvious if it is there.

But since I have an ugly color stock car, that I bought to enjoy - I am ok with the "loss"
If you say graphite grey is ugly one more time I may have to come down there and give you a smack, it's one of my top colors haha
I don't like white cars, but white/red just like great on the Evo 9. I am not into blue very much. Had a blue wrx - only because blue is THE color for that car.
@ViciousLSD - I haven’t seen a Blue EVO in person. I did own a Blue 2016 WRX but that is essentially a heritage color for that car. My Mazdaspeed3 (2010) was a Celestial blue as well.
@deylag - I hate white cars. However, on the EVO it looks excellent.
I wanted white/red. I didn’t want black as its so hard to keep clean. I am happy with the GG now, as it really does stay under the radar.
Though this weekend, I had a new CTR passenger roll down window give me thumbs up, IS350 driver gave me thumbs up, and 3 FRS/BRZ going somewhere revved on me.
@ViciousLSD - yes its less ugly than blue. LOL
