Need Help!

I’m new to the Evo Platform, last week I was heading to work didn’t hear any noise at all from the car came to a stop at a stop light and as soon as I crossed the intersection the rear wheels locked up and couldn’t move… I waited a few minutes and decided to drive to a gas station to get out the road and it happened again…. So I slowly drove out of the road ( 5mph or less ) sense I got towed home and I changed out the rear diff fluid but didn’t see no metal shaving or glittery gear oil, replaced the fluid… 2nd thing I’ve tried was lifting up the rear end and free spinning the rear wheels and nothing happens… so I put the car on floor and decided to just move the car back and forth again it’s deciding to lock up the wheels in either direction so if it locks up going forward I have to reverse it to free it vis versa…. Don’t know if it’s a wheel bearing, ring pinion, parking brake system, axle bearing…TIA!

I’m gonna have to check that out tomorrow and I’ll get with you guys tomorrow on that. If I don’t see anything I think I’ll just end up removing the rear differential and opening it and checking the bearings in their just don’t want to purchase everything with out knowing the problem

I didn’t find that much damage but this is what I noticed from the that cover plate
The pinion gear looks pretty sharp but don’t know if that’s how they are
