I don't think we are talking about the same thing. I already got the weight sticker recall. I never intended to bring my car in just for that. This in on a yellow mitsu stamped paper. Kinda wierd.

The Mitsubishi vehicle you purchased at ********* Mitsubishi in ********, California is under factory recall. Please bring your vehicle in so we may complete the work AT NO CHARGE TO YOU. Mitsubishi will cover the cost of the repairs. However, any rental car costs will not be covered.

In addition, we here at ********* Mitsubishi are looking to acquire several pre-owned vehicles to fill specific needs in our used vehicle inventories. Our records indicate you own one of these vehicles and our new car managers have been authorized to buy back your current vehicle. This is not a gimmick.

....

This was typed so please excuse any errors in sp etc.

Sounds like dealer BS to me

Recalls come from Mitsu Motors not the dealer. And there is no way in hell the dealer would be allowed to tack on that buyback crap to an official recall. It's shisty and unprofessional

lol, wtf... they're not only telling you that your vehicle has a problem, but they're taking it back from you as well? the term "gimmick" does not seem very professional to me. maybe it's a friend playing a trick on you

sorry I left out the dealer. I'm a cop and don't really want everyone knowing where I live. I don't care if everyone knows what I do.
