Question Weight Label Recall?

Have any of you guys got that yet? I just got it yesterday and I'm like WTF? They're recalling cuz this little sticker on the car is wrong? Anyone have any idea about this? I'm in Southern Cali. They said something about overloading can cause problems, accidents, etc etc. I guess when I take it in, I can tell them to get me a new 5th gear too..

I just got my letter over the weekend.

I think it is silly that Mitsu is spending their money to execute a recall on something so trivial when there are other real, albeit more expensive to fix, issues that are recall-worthy.

Yes it is quite lame of them to keep on ignoring real issues and then to rub it in our faces with crap like this.

Like what? Clutch? Other wear and tear items?

The wrong weight label and tolerences is not a minor thing.

It is a BLATENT law suit if someone loads too much **** in their car..
Crashes then sues mitsu..

It is a legitimate error and it is an error that is in writing on ALL their cars!!

Perhaps not reporting it like Fuso did would be a better option.

Went in for a regular oil change and rotation. They moved quickly on my car just to do the "sticker" recall. I wish they'd fix the PO300 CEL, but they probably won't.

What sucks is they probably won't let you pick up the sticker and put it on yourself. I hope I don't have to check the car into service just for a POS sticker and wait. They should do it right there in the service drive area and I'm on my way. I know these teenage lot attendants are drooling to drive an Evo, especially modded around the lot. I just don't trust them.

True story: When i purchaed my Evo last summer, I was entitled to a free tank of gas if I returned with a favorable survey. Well, they send out a lot attendent about a 70 year old Asian man. I was freaking when he tried putting the key into the driver door to open it. I told him it has a keyfob. Then he started it and raced the gas and rode the clutch in reverse hard. That's it, get the F out of my car right there. I will pass the free tank of gas. I said can I drive. The dealer said no, they have to fill it up. Then I come to find out the private gas pumps they use only have 87 octane. What f'ing B.S. They want to void our warantee for any little bullshat and then want to fill up an Evo with 87. I hate that dealer and will never return.

got mine, TOO bad I will NEVER go to the dealer again. I have a coil burned out now also. Is this under warranty? I hope so, but it probably wont matter as they will make their people fix it instead of letting me pick one up. Anybody?

I think this is a very phoney attempt at having one return to the "dealer" to have this sticker applied; granted it may be a cover-your-*** by Mitsu so that they won't be sued in their moment of peril, but I think it reeks of duplicity to have you return to the dealer so they can see what mods you have done to your car so they can void your warranty sooner and avoid paying any monies at this time because of their fragile monetary situation. If I ever sell the car I'll just give the 2 TSB's to the new owner and let them sweat it. ( I didn't go back for the first one either; do not trust this car company)
