If it actually is a recall on my car....can I do an even trade or are they going to say well we can fix it or buy it for $15000 or something stupid like that? No way in hell I'm going to sell it back for less than what I owe. I have only had it for a year last month.

Tommorrow's plan of attack: Call dealer, tell them you are using another dealer to avoid BS like the aforementioned "recall", Sit back, wait for the free oil change offers.

I would think they would have to basically pay you 32,125.45 or whatever you paid for it. even include the interest if it was not paid off initially

That is not a recall, it's the dealer trying to get you in there to sell you a new car. Make more money off you selling you a new car and rape you on the trade-in. Given Mitsush!tty's current action about warranty claims, the only way they would take your car back is if you won a judgement against them in court. There are no recalls for Evo's on the NHTSA web site, if there was it would be listed there. I would be giving that dealer hell tomorrow, show up w/ a police car and in uniform, make them sweat a little.

Good idea Buzzard...but if I showed up in uniform...they could accuse me of intimidating them and I could lose my job and get sued too. That would suck. (I already thought of that though) :P

Totally a marketing gimmick to get you into the dealership for either service work and or new car. An official recall will come from the manufacturer only, not the dealership. Just throw it away. Your car is fine. Don't waste your time calling those retards.
