!!! HELP Dying EVO

My evo is working like only 2 cilinder is firing.

I stalled on the red light and then after I restarted the engine works really rough, there is no boost, and I barerly can go 40mph. Engine shakes like crazy I barely made it to the garage.

The car is very modded so doubt they would cover it under warranty, but I wasnt racing or anything just restarted a car and thats it. Now it jerks really hard, doesnt dye though and no boost. Could that be a intercooler hose that came off?

Does anybody know what can that be>?

Thanks

Yes, you blew off a hose, happens to every one, your car is in "Limp Mode", as teh car has NO idea as to how much air is entering so it limps.

BUT TO BE SURE< remove all your performance parts and send them to me for further inspection.

The first you should do is inspect EVERYTHING. No, i'm not joking.

Hopefully you're car is fine once you find out what came off.

Sounds like you blew off one of your intercooler pipes. Look at all the intercooler piping and make sure all the connections are tight.

Just checked every intercooler piping and MAF no leaks or anything like that. OBD reader give me engine code 0300 Which is random cylinder misfire

Ran the car with MAF disconected, it runs the same.

Any ideas,
Thanks

I have burned out a coil pack before... and it seems very similiar to what your describing.. if its not a hose issue, its most likely an ignition issue.

I've seen a few posts from people reporting bad coil packs.

In the 1.8T audi motors, it was such a common problem Audi gave people refunds for coil packs. I had a bad coil pack or two in my old Audi A4 but it was very simple to swap it out for a new one. Should be similar on the EVO, but hopefully it isn't too common of a problem.

Take care,
