I was on my way to work this morning and just happen to get in front of the boys in blue, the street I take never has cops on it. To set the scene I have a Buschue 3" TB, and tinted windows. So anyway the cop comes up to my window and asks the normal stupid question
cop"Do you know why I pulled you over?"

me"No"

cop"Thats a pretty large spoiler that you have on the back of the car"

me"Are you seriously pulling me over for this?"

cop"Yes, the spoiler is imparing your rear vision"

me"Actually officer it's not, you are more than welcome to sit in the drivers seat get yourself comfortable and see if it impairs your vision"

cop"No thanks"

me"I hope you realize that this spoiler came with the car from the factory"

cop"I highly doubt that, give me your DL so I can take care of this"

me"No problem"

So I'm sitting there for about 10 minutes and he finnaly comes back with the citation.

cop"I am citing you with imparment of vision due to the large wing on your car. Your court date is on Oct 15, 04."

me"I wish I had my camera with me where I can show you many other cars exactly like mine that will have the same wing as mine"

cop"Like I said you have your court date and you can take it up with the judge"

me"Whatever"

cop"Hive a nice day, sir"

me"I bet you will"

So I get to work and some of the guys I work with seen me pulled over, and so I have to tell the story about 20 times. The is one guy that is about 65 and he even knew that the wing came with the car.

So everyone in New Berlin, WI LOOK OUT!!!!!!!

 

that is such BS! you should be able to get that dropped no problem but that sux that you have to go for a bs ticket on a STOCK part. he is just jealous that they dont get to drive EVOs as cop cars, what a *****

 

once again, thats messed up. so many of them get on those power trips and dont listen.

 

The funny thing is, is that he never mentioned anything about the exhaust (why I thought I was being pulled over) or the tint.


YES people cops DO PROFILE weather they admit to it or not.

 

I hope a cop pulls me over for that one. I still have my window sticker in my glovebox, id like to see them give me a ticket then.. that would be a good thing to take to court with you if you still have it...

 

I still do have it and wish I had it in my car at the time

I think I am going to start driving with a brochure from the dealership in the glove.As a matter of fact, I am going to pick one up next time I am near a dealer.

 

That is the main reason I no longer live in WI. I lived in Milwaukee and never heard of such bs. New Berlin cops are the worst in the Milwaukee area no question.

 

Not only do I have my sticker, but I also carry the large full color ad brochure they had when the car was new.

Hey, i have a lancer with an evo wing, think I can get away with it by saying it came stock? BTW, I just drove by 2 cops today about 30mins ago, I was like ooooh ****, my dam spoiler... i just darted into the next street and did some swift maneurvering home before the cop even had time to react to pull me over.

hey i got pulled over in a school zone (i was doing 10mph) and the cop said i was doing 18. i explained that i have two thing in my car that say how fast i'm going (turbo timer) he said i need to take my car to the dealer and get everthing "caliberated" if ya can do that......i refused the ticket and just asked for the court date... too bad the cop didnt show..that bastard
