So let me get this straight, if someone is an e-thug to me, I can call up the police and file charges against them?

Essential, yes. You have to feel threatened (i.e. expect to have bodily harm done to you).

Well I don't normally get involved with matters on these forums as you can see because this is my 1st post. This thread was just brought to my attention. But I definitely can relate with you guys that think you have been scammed. I lost $3300 a few years back and have yet to see a dime of it. This is why I am posting this.
Yes, Explod's car is at our shop. It has been there for a few weeks now. When he decided to part the car out, he asked if he could drop the car off. We agreed but told him it would take some time as we are extremely backed up and have about 15 cars at the shop right now. This did not seem to be a big issue at the time. When we finally had some open time in our schedule the car was thrown on the lift and we started the process of removing the parts. Pretty much everything is off the car as I write this. There are a couple things left.
Anyhow, I have never known Explod to scam anyone and seems like a stand up guy. Any of his dealings with any of you I have absolutely no knowledge of until now. My understanding was that he was selling the parts and that was it. To whom, and how much, and all that is not something that I normally get involved with. I can assure that the parts do exist and the ones that we removed thus far have been handed over to his parents which still live locally. I would assume they are handling the shipping for him.
I did receive phone calls from two buyers today. I returned both phone calls but got nothing but voicemails. You have our contact info as listed earlier in this thread if you must speak to me directly on this matter. I try not to get involved with these things because we are neither the buyer or the seller.
We have quite a few EVO customers and we like to help out the community where we can. We cannot garuntee any kind of shipping info because that is out of our hands as is most of the parts. But as was mentioned before, feel free to call if talking to me directly make you feel more at ease than just a post on a forum. I will help out in whatever way I can.

And to clarify, ANYTIME you threaten to physically harm someone, it is a felony. You don't have to physically do anything for it to be a felony.
perhaps a slight understanding of the law and the first amendment would help here. please don't post rediculous interpretations of what the law is not.

again a rediculous interpretation. under your theory a paranoid person who believes that someone who sneezes while looking at them might feel threatened and now the sneezer is a felon?? maybe in the eastern block in the mid 70's.

thanks for all the help everybody. I appreciate it very much and so will the other guys who haven't received their stuff yet. I want to buy some more stuff, but for now I am not trusting anybody unless I were to get the product handed to me person to person. I understand that his car is at your shop and he doesn't seem like that type of person, but we gave him money and we haven't seen a penny worth of our stuff yet. So i guess that sentence explains it all. I'm not trying to start anything and neither are these other innocent people who purchased products from him relying on his past positive feedbacks from previous products he's sold on here and also on ebay. I'm just hoping that the best solution comes outta all of this crappy mess and we both can gain something positive out of all of this. if we ever don't get our money's back (which i highly doubt), maybe we can start a fundraiser or something, have a huge evo meet and run ricers or something lol. As you can see I have calmed down a bit since my first few posts, I believe that he is a nice person since it does read that he has good feedbacks. I just want him to pick up his phone so we can talk person to person on what the deal is, but for some reason he doesn't want to pick up his phone and when i called earlier once again, his voice mail box was full. I guess all the evo members that know him or are being scammed have left some messages for him to listen to thoroughly

Ok, now we know that the parts are there. At least I know he didnt lie about that. All we need now is his parent's contact info so we can resolve the issue with them. It's appearant that nobody knows. Can anybody get in touch with his parents and tell his paretns to contact me directly? Just send me a pm and I'll send out my info for them. Thank slick motorsport for posting. It is very generous of you. Thank you again.

Thanks matt. My car is at his shop being parted out. I am a premed student 5 hours away I realy didn't have time to keep track of parts. I am truly sorry for this I didn't even know thes eposts were on evom until matt (slick motorsports) brought it to my attention that people were upset. I am trying to have my parents handle getting all the parts while theyre being taken off the car. Its a huge mess now. The parts are being sent out tommarow (wednesday). My cell phone is a room phone since we dont have phone service where I live. I dont keep it on me at times. I am at class from 2pm-7 every weekday and not around on weekends. Its getting taken care of sorry for the mess.

Jay

I was about to offer to get involved because it sounds like this took place in Private for Sale, but it looks like it may be getting resolved. I will not take sides as I've been ripped off personally in the past (not off here duh) and can also relate to being extremely busy. Heck I work full time (60 hours a week +) and am studying for my MBA and CFA simultaneously. There are days that go by that I've neglected activities that the rest of us take for granted. I'm sure med school is much the same. I wish you luck in your endeavors explOd but if you don't have the time, designate a good buddy, shop or family member to help you distributes the orders to paying members.

For those that paid and have not received I STRONGLY urge you to pay with a credit card and via paypal in the future. Worse case scenario is that if paypal refuses to pay, you can go through your credit card company. I've had to do that in the past and that worked out perfectly. In the end Paypal was pissed I didn't go through them, but they weren't willing to shell out in a timely manner (I doubt they would have at all IMHO). They said they would shut my account but I responded with a slew of emails threatening further legal action due to their support of obvious fraud!! My account still works to this day.

Keep me posted with what happens masterevo and crew.

I've been waiting since last thursday for you to reply or for you to answer your phone calls. I am not an impatient person usually, but it seemed a bit awkward that people have sent you money and we haven't seen any stuff sent out. I know that you are a busy college student and all, but when you told me that your dad sent the stuff out last tuesday airmail I believed you and you told me you were going to get me the tracking number. When I called you thursday and every day since then you haven't even returned my 2 messages that I've left. Well, you probably know how we felt, its been almost 12 days and we sent you money, and we didn't receive any notification of a tracking number, phone call, email or anything, that is why we were so pissed about it and worried that we mighta been scammed. But I hope we get this resolved asap, thanks for finally answering, just for a safety precaution as I stated earlier I contacted paypal and visa authorities, once I receive the products that I've ordered in my hands, I will cancel the fraud case that is pending. For waiting a week and half, we should at least get overnight express mail Once again thanks for the reply, as I thought something bad coulda happened to your or something, family emergency or somethin, but glad your there been busy and ok. I tried contacting you via instant messaging on aol but it it seemd as if you blocked me or something because I never saw you online but other people did... But yea gimmie a call once u send the stuff out please. Also for future buyers and sellers on lancerforums.com, let this be a good thought to have before you buy or sell on the forums. The forums are actually the best place to buy products since most products have only been used few a short period of time and the prices arn't beatable. Also thanks to the moderators for understanding both sides of the problem.

"The First Amendment of the United States Constitution protects the right to freedom of religion and freedom of expression from government interference. Freedom of expression consists of the rights to freedom of speech, press, assembly and to petition the government for a redress of grievances, and the implied rights of association and belief. The Supreme Court interprets the extent of the protection afforded to these rights. The First Amendment has been interpreted by the Court as applying to the entire federal government even though it is only expressly applicable to Congress. Furthermore, the Court has interpreted, the due process clause of the Fourteenth Amendment as protecting the rights in the First Amendment from interference by state governments. "

Hmmmm....I really don't think this means you can go around threatening people's physical wellfare. Maybe you should read up a bit more before you post ridiculous interpretations of what the law is not.
