I'm going to repaint my Evo, does anyone have any hard numbers as to the number of Gallons this might take? The stuff I'm going to use is $1,200 a gallon so hard numbers are appreciated. And no, I'm not taking it to Earl Scheib for 19.95 so some guy with a mop can paint it.

 

$1200 a gallon... thats one spendy paint job I'm not an expert but I did have my integra painted and it was just over a gallon so I would expect the Evo is close to 2 gallons but I don't know for sure you could call a paint shop and ask...

 

1 gallon of clear maybe a gallon of paint.your going to use that real floppy paint ?

Its fairly amazing, you should have seen the SEMA vehicle in real life. I think the Evo will really kick *** with that paint job. Mine is silver so I'm really only worried about the external and not looking to do a 100% inside/outside refinish.

As if an evo isn't high profile enough... Now the cops really won't have to try.

 

Im painting my car right now , at my house I have been in the paint & autobody trade for years , I love using PPG paint , I just got a gallon of red which runs 460 $ a gallon that with no reducer or clear , which shold be no more than 150 for the clear and 80 $ for the hardner and about 35 $ for a gallon of clear. But its allmost done , caint wait to get it back on the rode .
