You can run the Quaife in Street Prepared, but an aftermarket limited slip is unfortunately not legal for Stock class. The Stock class rule reads that limited-slip differentials must be standard. The definition of standard reads that it is an item that could have been installed on the factory production line. This may permit use of the RS diff it you wanted to retrofit it, but not a Quaife. I love my Quaife for Street Prepared.

Thanks,

I am strongly considering switching to an SP class next year (whether they move the EVO to BSP or keep it in ESP), and I think the Diff is a must have for the 03 EVO (I'm tired of smoking one wheel). That and I got to drove a car on race tires this year and it was addictive.

How much time do you think this would add to a clutch swap?

Can one of the mods update the install thread based off this thread? I fixed all the broken picture links in this thread and need the other thread to mirror my edited posts. Thanks!

If you're careful when taking the t-case cover off, you should be able to re-use the o-rings. I'd order the o-rings from RRE just in case. They're relatively inexpensive anyway. Just make sure you lube the o-rings before putting parts back together. This will ensure that they won't get caught on anything and rip.

Your best bet is to either call RRE and ask, or you can just pull the o-ring off and bring it to your local Kragen to find a matching replacement.

AFAIK yes, but I couldn't tell you why. It also is able to handle much higher power levels without breaking.

When you put the diff inside the carrier do you add fluid to the carrier or does it somehow get fluid some other way?
