Invidia N1 is very subtle. I am shocked how quiet it is, specially when cruising. No droning, just nice growl when pushed. The best exhaust yet on my evo!

I started a thread about EXACTLY that. I wish the mods would sticky it because lots of people prefer a streetable noise level to all out ***** to the wall volume. I ended up getting the RS*R ExMag. It's only been on the car for 3 days but I'm very satisfied. It's only loud at WOT.

Gredyy Evo II is perhaps the quiest of all, it comes with a silencer, plus the muffler is huge but the best part is that the muffler is completly hidden

I have been using the Gredy EvoII on my old WRX and now on the Evo 8 Mr and the Evo 9. I love it!!

They dont get any quieter than the Greddy Evo2..... Perfect fit 100% of the time also. Can be purchased for less than $500 shipped, if you call around.

If your concern is fit & finish, the WORKS exhale system is the best in the industry. The choice of Cyber Evo Japan and engineers at MMNA in Cypress CA.

In addition WORKS offers three options:
1.Stealthworks Muffler- which is a modified stock exhaust. The most quiet...similar to stock.
2.ABM-Axle back muffler- which fits perfectly and meets the standard of better than OEM. This choice of Evo engineers worldwide provides no bumper discoloration issues and is perfectly angled to the bumper. If you are looking for that deep sound associated w/ Porsche & BMW, this is the one.
3. AB-muffler delete which is the most agressive and best suited for off road application.

When choosing a system, one should decide what your ultimate goal is going to be. Any future changes to the system via a high flow cat, 3inch downpipe, 02 housing, manifolds will all affect sound.

+1, I have the BR TBE with Magnaflow and h/f cat very quiet! At idle, the tone is lower, but near stock dbs. At cruising speeds, the set up is more quite than stock, but at WOT it sounds great, but not too loud.
