Help Please....

Ok so after countless minutes of searching... I finally just have to ask... I just got a turbo timer harness and it is not working... lights will come on, not registering voltage, and car shuts off when you turn the ignition off... Thats not right...lol... So if n e one has any suggestions that would be helpfull that would be great... TIA

just a guess, but could it be the wrong harness? which turbo timer do you have?

i would test the OEM wires for 12v, accessorry, ignition and starter to make sure the wires going into the harness are correct and lined up.

if your not getting voltage, one the harness can be the wrong one, and two for whatever reason it could have grounded out.

ok thanks... its a greddy TT and a of course the greddy harness... don't really know the prob.. it was hardwired before and not working correctly (it did when first installed) and now im trying to get the harness installed to "clean it up a bit" and its not working...

I had the same problem, my ground wire was bad. But I imagine you have already checked that and all.

yeah... i checked the ground alls good there... its just irritating the hell out of me... lol I swear I hate working on electrical stuff...

And oh yeah.. 3 wires that come off harness (red, green, and white) do they suppose to plug in anywhere??

The emergency break tie in is not installed or you have it hooked up incorrectly, the lights will flash and turn off the car almost immediately. Not sure if this is your problem though, because it would work otherwise.

Yah ok... which wire from the TT plugs into the e-brake??? Is it purple??

How hard is it to install a turbo timer? I want to install one but I have no clue how to do it.

Monkey, it is easy to to. don't be scared to try it. I would have suggested checking the parking break wire.
