Sun and Sound Package +, Infinity Stereo Help Please...

I want to upgrade the factory HU of the Infinity Premium Stereo System. Every deck I look at says it will not work with the factory sub. Is there a way to wire around this to maintain use of the factory subwoofer? I did use the search feature before posting this and was unable to locate any material on the matter. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Justin

I would love to know this one. I just got a Kenwood deck and the place I took it said that because I had the Gold package, the sub would not work unless I got another amp. They had to re-wire my hole system. At least they did that for free.

Yeah, I had the same questions a few weeks ago, but my search actually yielded results

Please bear in mind, that this is in reference to the Evos with the Sun+Sound option (aka the 7-speaker infinity premium system), so that there's no confusion...

In a nutshell, it is said that the soundgate adapter
http://www.soundgate.com/index.php?r...b20df59e776b15 will work.

Now, I'm actually upgrading my HU to the Alpine 9855 in a couple days, and I ordered this adapter from soundgate. I will let you guys know how it works out for me.
Also, there were comments about the voltage from the preamps...someone said that in order to get "quality" sound, he had to go with an HU that was putting out 4v on the preamps...that's why I went with the 9855 instead of just maybe the 9853. I can't comment on that because my knowledge with stereos is limited to just your basic knowledge.

Anyways, if it'll help, I could do a "How-To" on replacing the HU.
Feel free to pm me if you have any further questions.

Thank you VERY much for the post...I will be switching to a Pioneer Premier HU very shortly and now know what I need for a successful installation. I'm sorry my search didn't yield results, but appreciate you going out of your way to help.
