Hks Eids Woes
Im having all the problems that [guys with EIDS's that have problems] are having. I got the high idle around 1500RPM which, with a catback, makes me worried about getting pulled over for a loud exhaust. The HKS SSQV is effing loud as all hell, and I love that about it. I'm a huge fan of the "spool, blow off" sound. Yeah, I have the EIDS PRO and in the back it has two dials instead of one, well I hear that some have one. I turned the air flow meter up 1 notch like the threads say to, but I still have the high idle and stuttering throught the RPM's at 4500RPM's. My boost doesnt go past 1 bar according to my boost gauge and the spool up isnt as loud as stock. Stock would hit about 1.5 bar and taper off. I think my problems are in the wiring. I had called HKS and they told me to have the instructions translated. ??? I called back and a guy told me what to do. I wired one yellow or white, I cant remember, to the MAF under the hood, then the other to the MAF in the ECU. I've read here that people are VTA with no problem, I'd like to be one of those people. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated. TIA!!

Yeah the vaccuum was kinda higher than usual according to my boost ga. It usually read about 38-40 under normal idle, but it was reading up to about 49-52, a little higher. Boost sucked, maybe you were right I probably did have a leak or forgot to tighen something, maybe.
