Wideband O2 sensor install
What do the readings look like when you've got a busted sensor? I used to get good data, but now I get totally bogus numbers. I guess I can check my wiring again, make sure I didn't lose a ground...
picking up the LC-1 Wideband shortly, thanks to those who have contributed, there are plenty of switched 12V sources to choose from in that area, or behind the center console. I may take/post pictures of my install as well.
I'm doing this right now and am thinking I should use the 12v to the Lighter as my power source, it doesn't really matter that it's on when the car isn't, I never sit around and with my keys in my car and it not running.
Anybody know if the power cable is the brown cable or the black that hooks up to the cigarette lighter?

Anybody have a better place to put it?
How would this be different from any other power source? It would only keep it on if I sit in my car with my keys turned to the accessory setting, which I don't do. It may be necessary to do sometime, but I don't think doing it once or twice a year will be a problem.

Depending on your gauge setup you may not need this but the AEM has an "auto zero" feature that resets the gauge when it gets power....if you don't use the correct power source it may cause inaccurate readings.
Here is my post where I got help and mine has worked perfectly!!!

Good luck!
Installed my LC-1 tonight, few things I noticed.
1. Using Evoscan software, the only items that need hooked up is a ground (blue, white wire, and black after the calibration LED & button), and red to a switched 12V source. I utilized the ground and 12V switched from the radio, for easy access, and I will not be using the radio while datalogging with the wideband.
2. Since I am not running an afr or other gauges from this, it is simply to datalog the afr for tuning purposes, rather than leave the bulky LC1 harness & everything else in the car, I ran power and ground wires from the radio, into the glovebox, terminating into insulated plugs. I then put the other end of each plug on the LC1 so that I can simply plug in 2 wires, and toss the WB O2 sensor through the hole in the tunnel to screw it into the bung I set up for it.
3. Did anyone else have an issue with the hole NOT being large enough for the included Bosch O2 sensor to fit through? The plug is obviously the larger end, so I thought I could feed the sensor itself through the hole from the inside out... And it doesn't fit, did others 'massage' that hole a bit larger to fit the sensor through it?
Plan to do some datalogging in the next few days to a week, I'll keep this posted with any additional thoughts as I log and tune. Thanks.
