tapping power

When you guys tapped power for your boost guage where did you tap it from? If you lay upside down under the steering column and look up towards the radio you will see a single plastic harness with one green and white striped wire with a metal connector on the end. Is this the wire to tap for power? If so, can you buy a female connector that will plug right into this so that no cutting is necessary? Thanks,

Chad.
