HI, i would like to know what should i do and what to buy because my engine had just seized up and i am planning to convert it to evo9 mr if possible.

I dont want change everything only the necessary part for the new 2006 evo 9 mr to fit my 2003 evo 8 gsr.
I also want to know do i have to get a 6 speed transmission

A lot. First off why? It would cost as much to buy a used 09 MR unless you found a wrecked one and used it for parts.

Here's a start with only what would be necessary to run and be considered an MR(feel free to fill in what I forget):

Suspension:
Shocks
Struts
Springs

Engine and Drivetrain:
Engine and associated wiring
ECU
Transfercase with ACD
ACD reservoir and associated stuff
Transmission+associated stuff: shifter, clutch, fluid, etc.


Interior:
Gauges
ACD button

 

Don't forget the MR roof. Imo, its not worth converting.
