Here is the front ecu from my car in case you guys wanted to compare the part # with yours...

THESE INSTRUCTIONS ARE ONLY FOR AN 05 TYPE FUSE BOX

Basically you take a thin wire, I used 24 gauge, stuff one end of it on the bottom right corner connector of the foglight relay, and stuff the other end of it into the 6th hole from the left on the bottom row of the headlight relay box connector.

i posted in like 3 different threads about this... giving hte same info... i made my own thread asking the question... there is just no interest aparently...

 

so with this mod is the button still functional or do they just stay on??? wondering if its worth my effort to try to figure it out for the 03-04 box

 

they turn on and off with the headlights (lowbeam). it effectively shorts out hte fog circuit by taking either the ground or the power from the headlight circuit. the foglight uses a relay which then hits up the software in the front ecu. this is why there's no other way to jerry rig it to stay on, unless you rewrite the front ecu somehow. but even then i think it's a hardprinted circuit board.

 

Is it possible to swap the USDM front ecu with a JDM front ecu?

 

Will this work for the 06 IX? Or has anyone figured this out yet?

 

has anyone tried a simple relay switch? like the aircraft style one with the red covers? i figure that should work.
