Evo 9 oem hid adjust

I have an 06 evo 9 se with factory hids and i lowered my car and now my lights are too low. I've searched and read up and i guess i just need a little bit more help.

I unscrewed the 2 Philips screws and used a 10mm ratchet and tried to turn it but it still doesn't do anything. Does it matter if the lights are on? If somebody could give me a little bit more insight i would definitely appreciate it.

+! I just tried to do it today. If you raise the lights they change direction also. It sucks.

Ok - listen up.

Here is the trick

I had the exact same situation as you, after lowering my car almost 2 inches or so on megan coilovers.

You can't just turn the knob with the socket, because you arent really turning the headlight adjuster when you turn the socket.

The socket turns a gear which interfaces with another gear. So the way to make it happen is you need to use the socket, and HELP the second gear along with your finger.

My finger was blistered about 1/4" when I got done with mine. If you just try using the socket the teeth will slip and that is why nothing is happening.

This is the worst design ever. It must have cost 32 cents less to use plastic gears then metal ones.

screwed in the two phillips screws and the other part of the gear so you just keep using a 10mm on the gear and a screw driver to help turn it and it aligns but my drivers side isn't moving has anybody put wd40 on the gears to help them?

I used my finger (painfully)

Wear tight rubber gloves

you may have to open the headlight to see what is wrong.

I bought my car lowered on megan track coilovers. I have an 03 VIII and the HIDs have an electronic adjuster on the left side of my dash. Can I still adjust mine like yours? Also does this adjust the high beam? My high beam is pointing 6 feet down in front of the car it seems.

Also off topic sorta, my left bulb goes out like so many seconds after I turn it on. It seems like it sorta fades a little and then just shuts off.

I assume the stock HID setup is:
Bulb
Ballast
Capacitor

What bulbs do I get? Sorry a little

Thanks in advance!
