How To Tune Your Greddy Profec B spec II
I have a question....
I installed on my 9 a greddy profec spec b... i love it...but!
ive set it up when i drive fast, without a stand still start i can build up boost at 1,65 peak... keeping 1.6-1.5 until 6000rpm and then goes down to 1.4 at max.(in 3rd gear)
If i launch, when i reach 3rd gear i peak at 1.5 ad goes to 1.3 at max.
how do i do to keep the same pressure ??

Just wanted to post up my settings.
Hi:
Set - 53%
Gain - 6%
Set Gain - 171
Warning - 230
Limiter - L.20
Lo:
Set - 49%
Gain - 16%
Set Gain - 183
Warning - 230
Limiter - L.20
Defi Boost guage gets 1.6 bar from Hi and 1.4 bar from Lo.
Now the questions. I wanna fine tune this more.
I'm tuned for 22 psi.
1. Should my set gains be the same for Hi and Lo settings?
2. Are most people setting the Limiter to L.4 or L.04?
3. Is my limiter at 20% or 2%?

Ducu, I'll go see this morning what it holds at in 3rd gear.
555R, you have a real low set gain, I've read this whole thread and there are two thoughts, 1) ECU should give over control to the GReddy at 14 psi, 2) GReddy should take over at 4 psi less than desired boost. (Arpad, suggested this in the write-up.) Which seems better to you?
Arpad, I'll increase the gain.
Which is more accurate, the Defi boost guage or the GReddy EBC? My EBC says I peaked at 20.9 psi, my Defi guage showed peak at 1.6 bar (23.2 psi)? This has really been bugging me about the accuracy.

i havent had any issues with it at 140...
i know standard spring pressure for the wastegate is about 15psi
so i left it just below that
and thats where its been since i turned it on the first time

i was wondering what i should set my boost numbers on if i currently have 320whp, and the following mods. 20g turbo, custom tbe, ams fmic kit and piping, mr exhaust mani., walbro fuel pump, injen intake? please help me out. i just want to know what i should have my set, gain, set gain, warning, limiter, peak boost, set on???
Unfortunately, nobody can tell you what your settings should be, it varies from car to car. I've seen them vary significantly even on identical stock models. Therefore every car needs to have the ProfecBspec2 tuned specifically for that vehicle. If you check out the first post in this thread, at the end of every description before the instructions there are suggested first time safe settings and then you have to follow the steps to tune it to your desired boost level.
Gain should only be high enough to control the boost to whatever level you want it to be. I.e. Dont turn up the gain to increase boost.
The gain controls the Duty cycle of the Solenoid to maintain the boost. Too much gain can cause the boost to drop in some cases.

LO
SET: 45%
GAIN: 5%
SET GAIN: 1.05 kPa or 15 psi
WARNING: 1.44 kPa or 21 psi
LIMITER: 4%
RESULTS:18.3 psi
HI
SET: 50%
GAIN: 10%
SET GAIN: 1.10 kPa or 16 psi
WARNING: 1.44 kPa or 21 psi
LIMITER: 4%
RESULTS:19.9 psi
Everything runs pretty smoothly. I'm going to knock down my Set Gain to 0.84 kPa here to hopefully eliminate any issues with altitude here in Denver, where the atmospheric pressure is 12.2 psi vs 14.7 psi at sea level.
