Edit - Oooops, didnt know we were discussing a Jetta

Evo undertray does not have to come off for an oil change. Delaler changes 10bucks a qt for Mobil 1 oil though.

It usually runs me about $40 said and done. For $75, you can't hate the dealer for charging $35 for labor...they have to make some money.

It take them about an hour to get the filter off...

I based my assumption on an 75 dollar an hour labor plus 25 dollars in "parts"

Ok this is my first post let me intro who I am first.
I was a Mits tech for a while i was the head tech at the dealer I worked at, i was there in 03 and drove the First EVO 8 to hit the us soil at the training facility in Chicago.
I do not own a Evo but ever since that day I have wanted one, for 5 years now.
I currently own a local shop and specialize in imports we do about 80% imports here.
I joined this forum because I was invited and I am in the market to buy one

.
My question is didn’t you get a bill and doesn’t it say a labor time and the price for oil and the filter?

With any price of parts there is a mark up.
If I buy oil and it costs me 5 bucks I sell it for 7.
That’s just the way it is.

There should be separated lines for each of the parts and labor op for the job.
What does it say?
List them separately and lets see if you were hosed.
I know when I worked at the dealer 90 to 100 dollars for a oil change wasn’t out of the ordinary.
