FYI stay away from the stain glass paint, it fades over time to pink and the urethane clear coat ended up peeling since the base coat was not of a compatible material.

Bump.

Used the Krylon Stained Glass paint, the 1/4" tape, and bought some urethane clear coat.

3 coats color, 4 coats clear, wet sand with 600, 800, 1000, 1500, 2000, and 2500 grit, buffed. The finish is nice. I also swapped the turn-signal and reverse light bulbs in their locations, so that my reverse lights stay white.

Did you use the krylon stained glass cranberry red, or the sea glass ruby, and how are they holding up?

I couldn't find the red glass paint, except on ebay for 50$+ bucks a can. I came across another diy using Duplicolor Metalcast MC200 Red Anodized.

Before clearcoat

After bodyshop clear.

had some time and did mine
although the pass side is not as clear. Has a bit of haze. Going to polish them and then post some pics after I have them clear coated

Has anyone tried to remove the red colour off his tailight? If yes, what product/s did you use?

I heard a few people used "goo-off" but I should imagine a paint thinner or even sanding and polishing could restore them to stock appearance
