Strobe Install

I have have a strobe system that mounts in the headlight and tail light housing, that requires a 1" hole to be drilled out. I attempted to install these strobes in a prievious car but durring the process of drilling the holes, the chrome reflective material that lines the headlight began to chip and flake while drilling. does anyone know a sucessful way to mount strobes into evo light housings, without flakeing that chrome finish?

Did you try taping it then drilling in, to avoid cracking the paint... i'm not sure if it will work on the headlight housing though... I wonder why everyone keeps on dissing on people's questions and comments... nothing productive comes out from it.

Because you want to put strobes in a $30k car, your not using it for a show car, I can't possibly see any other need for these.

I'm just trying to find the reasoning behind this, I don't see the need for them without being a show car except to sit in a parking lot with other cars and go "flashy flashy"

I used to know someone who had strobes in there headlights on an 05 Evo 8. This was because they were a volunteer firefighter.... But our 05 Evos didn't come with fog lights and he used the foglight hole for the strobes. I wouldn't see any other need for strobes.. But to each his own. Hope i helped

If you drive an evo, well unless your a puertorican with a fart can, a wide bodykit thats been taped on, and a intake and thats it, then you cannot be rice.
Rice is show, no go.
Evo's have been, are, and always will be, GO.

I like the purple ^_^.
It would look pretty decent on a white evo.
