HOW TO: Install a fuel pressure gauge sensor
HOW TO: Install a fuel pressure gauge sensor
Hello everyone, looking to install a prosport fuel gauge sensor to plug on the gauge. I know very little about the install i hear it goes in the fuel rail somewhere but dont know where exactly. I would like some help on this install. Thank you
I know i need an adaptor also for the gauge sensor that looks like this

But i don't have the slightest idea where it goes

At the end of your fuel rail should be the fuel regulator, should be on your passengers side, that gets taken off and the above adaptors go in its place. Those adaptors are for an aftermarket Fuel Pressure Regulator (FPR), so you need one of those which will have a port on it for the sender unit for the gauge to mount into.
I guess the other option is to get a t and cut your return fuel line and put that in the line and connect the sender unit up that way. You won' need the above adaptor or an aftermarket FPR.
I just received my FPR today, so will be hooking mine up in the weekend hopefully.

Ultimate Racing makes an adapter that goes between the rail and fuel line input into the rail. The adapter is threaded for 1/8" NPT which is the most common size for pressure sensors.

Takes about 10 minutes to install the adapter. Don't drop the screws. I had to bend my return line slightly to make room for the pressure sensor.

Thxs for the reply but I got it solved by just taking the inlet fuel line removed have it cut and place a fitting that would fit perfect back in place. By a hose shop. And then adding the requied fittings. Thxs All
Any chance you can post pics of the part or a model or anything? Where did you take it to have it installed? I am facing the same task right now.

Sorry for the delay here's what I did:
The view is from the driver side inlet line.

So I went to the local auto parts store and this is what I came up with. Oil on the left and fuel on the right.
EDIT: They were all the correct fittings. Everything is working great, no leaks!
