Alternator help

Not sure if this is the right place to put this, but I'm having a small problem installing an alternator on my evo 8 and I'm wondering if anyone else has encountered it.

After going through all the work of actually taking the old alternator out, I finally pop the new one in, and I can't get all three bolts to secure. Has anyone else ever run into this problem? I can't secure the top bolt, and if I try securing that bolt first I cant secure one of the other two.

If you bought it from a parts place then you need to get a OEM. I had a thread where I posted this. The mounts a good 3/8 inch off. Just get a OEM and return that one and tell them it doesnt work with the application. I think it is actually a regular Lancer one.

Thanks man. Yeah I talked to a few other people and they said the same thing. I guess that must be the case. Will do exactly as you advised and get the OEM alternator. Thanks again!
