Cans are holding up great, I am actually in the process of finding another location for them as well since I moved to a large battery in the trunk and have a short route UICP to install. I'll update when I find a good mounting solution for them.

I did this method and it looks great! My battery is in the trunk so it freed up room for the cans. I'm just waiting for my check valve to come in the mail to hose up the PCV side. Nice write up vortico!

sorry for bringing this thread back up. such a great write up.. i did get lost between all the comments about the pcv. so in another words. take the pcv out of the vc. run a straight hose to the catch can. then on the other side of the catch can. reconnect the pcv valve, then run a hose to the intake?

another question. the hose the should go to the air filter from the valve cover is running down the engine and clamped underneath the car and left open. Is this ok do I even need a can? I guess in theory if the purpose of the hose is to vent crankcase pressure it should be ok.

This is amazing, what an excellent (old yet relevant) write up. Saved. I'm going to try this out in my X. I intended on fabricating my own due to absurd prebuilt prices. This is much easier.
