Nice work! Now we just need to figure out a way to have a key fob and no key to insert and have push button start!

I found on my colt, and the evo looks the same, that the connector used for this mod is your standard 6 pin automotive connector and easy easy to find in most car shops (in australia) so instead of using the connectors into the old loom, I made an extension loom the same as the blitz items.

You would still have to have the key in so that the factory steering lock doesnt lock on you. Unless you completely remove steering lock all together.

You could do that and then just have kill switches stopping the car getting started. But then what if you want to just sit there with the car off, and want to listen to music. You would have to have a switch or something for when the key is on ACC.

I say just either leave it stock, or if you really want the switch then do it how the OP did it.

Just looks like it would get gunked up or spilled on there. I prefer it to be on the column where it's much safer from liquids and gunk since it's not facing up but rather mounted on the side.

It is cool though.

Both the SAAB ignition and the start button above look great! My dad got a 2011 Maxima recently and even that has a start button ignition. Seems like everything will soon enough.

I could be wrong, but I think he might be referring to something like this:
