This thread is a real ebay coil sale eater. Everyone is now make their own COP systems . Denso coils begin to be harder to source used even in the junkyards... Sorry for all non CDI COP sellers !

40.00 dang thats bank for your buck right there!!

I think the hardest part of this as a diy is to orient the plate holes properly the first time.

The 40 bucks I spent was on the Spoolinup website.. I just got comnnectors, wires, and the plate. Made my own spacers and soldered all the wires. The Coilpack pigtails came with the coilpacks. I'm going to make myself another harness later.

Did u guys find anything to seal between the plate and the coilpacks? I'm trying NOT to get water in the system. My tundra ones have a seal under the coilpack but I want to make it a tighter one. Just had an Idea, how bout a copper ring washer??? IDK

What other Spark plug gaps has anyone tried? Right now I'm trying out NGK BPR8ES gap .18.... I noticed it has less Misfiring. I've also tried .22 and .26... Going to try .20

I just finished mine tonight, what an improvement! Idle was so much cleaner, spool increased, but what a difference in 1st gear. It feels so smooth now!! If you haven't done this you're truly missing out.

If anyone is interested I have a set of (4) toyota rav4 V6 coils WITH pigtails (they are longer and reach the spark plugs better without having to expand the spring)

Also have a set of (4) 2006 civic coils WITH pigtails

PM me with offers I can get pics upon request but im sure everyone knows what coils look like

Heres a pic of my setup with the V6 coils

^ I was just going to ask if anything different had to be used for the Evo 9 but I guess not? I know Spark Tech sells different one's for 8's and 9's. What exact coils did you use if you don't mind me asking? I get a bit of break up because I'm lacking spark and I'm going on E85 soon so I'm definitely going to do this in the next few weeks.
