johnnydemz4G63 that came out pretty good! Did you ever get around to figure out the issue with misfire?

I gapped my plugs to .026, checked all my wiring, checked male plugs, stretched springs and still got misfire. Next step is to gap them .028, oh and thanks but I rushed it so the looms are all over the place lol.

Gapped my plugs to .030 and still misfires around 4500 at semi wot. Im going to try and lower the gap to .022 and see if it gets better, if it doesnt new plugs. What are you guys gapping at? e85, stock turbo, stock motor.

A couple people have asked and I didn't see any answers:

Is the fourth wire un-used? YES, it is the purple wire on the Denso coils. It is the IGF wire. The IGT wire (a different color on each coil, generally black, pink, green and light green) is the spark signal wire.

I made my own kit and it is super easy. Go to your local junkyard and find a Toyota or honda with decent denso's and grab them along with the pig tails. Then simply cut the plugs off of your evo on both sides of the valve cover. The white/red wire is power, the black is ground and the black with white or black with green are your spark signal wires. Crimp or solder them to your new coil packs making sure not to use the purple wire as stated above.

Prepare yourself for awesome idle and smoother driving in general.

Apologies for bump, but heres my DIY, made with a hacksaw, a drill, some metal filers, and some leftover sandpaper, using 4g eclipse GS coils. Just test fitting now and everything seems to fit very well.

Spark plug cover fits for those who want to keep it on.

Here's mine (thanks to invisiblevision for helping out). It's a process that's for sure but the end result is way more than what I was expecting. Spools quicker and runs WAAAAYYYY smoother. Cheers fellas!
