How to take apart and clean MAF?

hey guys, srry if this is in wrong part of forum, but i wanna clean my MAF and im not sure what steps i need to take to get it out to clean it, i have the CRC cleaner, just unsure of how to take about that part of the intake?

i just take the intake off and spray the maf cleaner rigth on the maf itself. i keep the car off of course. once the cleaner evaporates just put the intake back in... unless you were planning on cleaning it another way . i hope that helps

i guess i shoulda ask wat exactly does it look like, i had a 350z before with a MAF and it just went rite into the piping and was able to b unscrewed and pulled out, is the maf on the evo's just that big screen lookin thing or is there sumthin that has to b pulled out

you have to pull it out and spray from the turbo side. the maf is behind the grate you see inside the airbox. google images 'evo maf'

Not really, that's the honey comb, which only straightens the air flow. The part you need to clean is brass coloured part that is about the size of a thin pencil coming down from the top of the assembly. This is the Karmen Vortex sensor.
