I was looking for a how-to also. I guess I'll figure it out tomorrow cause I'm going to do mines tomorrow. It seems like the most important thing is to have 2 people to bleed the pump. One to push the gas pedal on 1 to open the bleeder valve. I did this part and it wasn't hard.

I still don't understand: with all the pumps that r failing, mitsu still haven't taken responsibility for the faulty design. We need a class action lawsuit.

A lawsuit is not needed itll be just like throwing ice-cubes at the devil. If youd like I can help. What you have to do is disconnect the negative side off the battery. Then proceed with taking the front bumper off along with the dust cover and shield. I had the under splash shield removed so thats one less step I have to do.

Now I believe are two big bolds that go onto the chasis of the car where the bracket holds on to it. Before you start to disconnecting wires you want to hold a little catch bowl to catch the oil that is going to leak from out of the system. It looks kind of like a fluid brake like that attaches to it then you unplug it from the harness of the car it should take you no more than like 15 to 20 minutes if your taking your time. Hit me up on here if you need help. I should do the diy myself if you need pics. So you need a diy on the assembly itself or just the pump?

I just finished mines. It took a little longer the because the pump I got was from a wreck evo with front end damage right by the pump. all the connections was damage including the harness. Taking the old pump off is pretty str8 fwd.
To bleed the system turn the key to on w/ out starting the car and have someone step on the gas while you open the bleeder valve.
There are several threads on here that explain this. Good luck.
No more 3 lights displaying. Haha! I can't believe how much corrosion was on my pump compare to the other, just by looking on the brackets u can see the difference and my car only has 33k and seen only one winter. I'll c how long this one will last, it was free so it doesnt matter.

Thats good news that you were able to get it done and that the three red lights didn't come on. The more that you guys right on here the more knowledge n confidence that I build up to do this. So I appreciate that.

Questions. Did u use a machine to bleed Acd pump or u open n close the bleeder valve by hand? Also did u bleed bother the Acd pump and transfer case. Just really confused cus theirs a bleeder valve on both and I don't understand if u have to bleed both of them. Also when bleeding, gas pedal all the way down the entire time or did u pump the gas pedal?? Thanks again guys.

I used the gas pedal method. I was having difficulty bleeding the system because the pump would run for a second or 2 then turn off, so it wasn't running long enough for me to bleed it, which is a good sign that the pump is working great. So after some SEARCHING I came across a UK forum which one guy say to just unplug the pressure sensor harness and plug it to the old pressure sensor that's not on the car. The pump run longer and I was able to bleed it and when I was finished I just the harness back to the pump.
