How to make a Cool Air Scoop
I have read other threads of using a scoop to pick up extra air from the front end of the car. I t seems like a god idea to me but I didn't want to take the bumper off is I measured and measured and made a template the drops on WITHOUT removing the bumper. You cut out the attached scoop and the remove the 2 trim screws holding the snorkel on the air box, remove the 1 trim screw from the bumper and curl the scoop down behind the bumper. Works great!!!!
I used 26 gauge sheet metal from home depot. A unibit (cone shaped drill bit) for the holes. Tin snips for the edges and notch on the side. Then I sanded, primed and painted. $5.00 worth of materials.
Here is a thread discussing the scoop....

Here are some pics. I used sheet metal due to the fact that the aluminum seemed a little too soft. This will hold up under the 150+ BOH runs.
Yes, my car is dirty in the pics.... I was testing in the rain last night...
