I am liking this kit though, I mean if you get it, make sure you have Buschur Racing PORT your exhaust manifold, just do it as it'll flow close to what a tuby will especially on pump gas. The Twin scroll will keep exhaust gas velocity up to keep it spooled.

I just want a GUARANTEE that this turbo will just bolt RIGHT into place, no banging water lines, no banging the fan or hitting IC pipes. Oil lines lining up and so on. And this is an off the Shelf Garrett?

The 380 WHP, what CAMS were used? Injectiors? FMIC? ANd on what dyno?

Yes. On the above post, that is the turbo kit in question. The only thing that is different is the upper boost tube and the 4" intake pipe to the turbo. Those are custom pieces and are NOT included with the turbo kit.

The turbo WILL bolt RIGHT into place w/o relocating a single thing. Everything lines up perfectly. No, it is not an off the shelf Garrett. The turbine housing has been custom made by ATP to bold up to the stock manifold. However, the trim and a/r are exactly the same as the off the shelf version.

With the 380 WHP, our Evo has Crower 262's, Greddy 660cc's, ARC FMIC and was tuned on a dynojet dyno. According to our tuner, our Evo should dyno 20 HP more on other dynos such as that from XS Engineering. Something about it being SAE corrected or something like that.

Like I said, 420whp on pump is defintiely do-able. It all depends on the tune and ECU. On our AEM EMS, we tuned VERY conservatively. Also, us CA guys only get 91. You might get 93 or higher where you live.

I think using this kit on a "race" car is stupid, why not upgrade to a high flowing manifold? The ATP kit is great for the street, but I dont know what person in their right mind would use it for a race application, especially time attack!

Further research on evom will show that the factory twin scroll piece is one of the best you can find. Kudos to Mitsu for such a great design out of the box! Even Buschur on the 20g came to the conclusion that the Twin Scroll setup is very good and out performed his tubular manifold by quit a bit.
Yeah but the ATP kit doesnt utilize twin scroll, it just lines up the holes so the stock gasket works. The hotside is just one cavity that looks like twin scroll.

Also, larger injectors make it more difficult to tune for things like idle, decel. etc.

injector sizing isnt really subjective, you just gotta do the math. MAYBE 660 is enough on race gas for 500whp......we were running at 90% duty on our gt30 series at 525whp with 720's!

I think he's talking about using just an AFC with 660+ injectors. To get it to idle worth a **** you'd have to pull fuel like crazy, in turn screwing with your timing.... right?

It would depend on the size of the track. Small technical track, I'd want a quick spooling turbo. Large track with big sweepers etc, I'd want the topend of a larger one.

It's the hotside that bolts to the manifold. The hotside is the proprietary piece that makes this kit different.

You can mount the 10.5 hotside to your stock turbo and don't need to spend the $ on this kit.

I'm pretting sure the A/R of the ATP kit is larger than a stock turbo's...
