I sent my map yesterday at lunch but just now realized I run 780's and your max is 680's. Is there anyway to work with it like scaling the injector size down? I don't need a perfect tune, just enough to drive the car around. The rest I can do.

Talking Hey Al

Looks like you opened a whole new can of worms with this product. And you thought I was pain in the ***.

I would offer some suggestions going forward.

Order the map in advance. If you know you are going to be making changes next weekend, give yourself a little cushion. Things happen to all of us, and sometimes we aren't able to make deadlines. Having that extra cushion can save quite a bit of headache.

As previously suggested, backup your rom in several places.

Requesting a valet map is definitely a good idea. That way if something goes wrong such as (insert your scenario here) you can at least load that map, and have the car be drivable.

Keep in mind this is an evolving process. If you want to demand something be trouble free, wait a year after it comes out. Most of the bugs will have been worked out by then.

Just my 2c.

I hope you're not imlying that I'm being a PITA. That was not my intention, it was an honest mistake when I overlooked his injector limit. I hope I'm not asking him to make wine out of water or anything. I'm amazed he does this at all. I have close to 8 years exerience with the 4G63 and its drivetrain, 4 of those years have fairly extensive piggy back tuning in them. I'd still never attempt what he does.
My thought was lowering my base fuel pressure and making a few other small tweaks to get the 780s to work with a 680 map that has similar mods. I've done the same thing with my old MAFT setup on my DSM to get these same 780's to idle and drive off boost and it worked very well. The car is scheduled for some dyno time next weekend and I can work out any bugs then if need be. If you can't or won't do it then I completely understand. No harm no foul. I'm just trying to save some time I don't have. I'd do all this myself but it's hard to find time to sleep these last few weeks let alone tune a car.

I'm not implying anything. It wasn't directed at anyone in particular, just something for people to think about.

Obviously, if you're paying for a service you should get what you pay for. It just seems today everyone is in the "NOW NOW MORE MORE, DAMMNIT I MEANT YESTERDAY!!" mode.

I mean damn, even Tony Soprano stops to smell the roses now!

No implication of any individual except myself, but I do see a potential trend starting.

People should understand that this Ecu Flash is basically a tool like a screw driver or a wrench

People are free to adjust and tweak and correct and experiement

the concept of a E FLASH! from myself is a way to provide a map which is 90% set up for a particular mod combo and which will in most cases run the car very well with no tuning

However, with something like scaling for larger injectors there is nothing I think wrong with getting a E FLASH! map for example 650 injectors and then adjusting the scaling to suit what ever injectors you may have

My point in providing the product is to provide a usefull frame work which users can have to start from rather than going from scratch or using a map they borrow from from unknown 3rd party which may or may not be leading them in a proper direction

With this said, I would be happy to provide youa 650 map for your mods if you want

Al

I appreciate your perspective

This product is ment as a support for self tuners and tinkeres to have a greta map to start with in their tuning efforts

I priced it very resaonably to provide an excelent value

Frankly, I underestimated the amountg of time needed on each map to convert them from my hex editor to Ecu Flash format as the files are different sizes and I need to use stock ecus to transfer the data

I am working hard to satisfy demand even although as I have already exlpained I have been doing a lot of travel recently and also busting my *** to get my car ready for the big Wrx vs Evo race this weekend

I ask that people be patient

I am on the road to Ohio today and I will have lots of time over the next few days in my hotel room to sort out everyone's problems and get all back ordered maps delivered

Thanks for your support and business
